Jari Boldrini, trained at the Opus Ballet school in Florence, Italy, and Giulio Petrucci, a graduate of the Teatro alla Scala ballet school, collaborate individually with various Italian and foreign entities and collect common experiences with authors Fabrizio Favale, Cristina K. Rizzo, Virgilio Sieni and Stefano Questorio.
The various daily and work experiences they have made together nourish their artistic thinking, which leads them to give birth in 2018 to C.G.J. Giulio and Jari Collective.
The collective is a research project of performative formats, which pays attention to the body and movement and observes the multiple aspects hidden in the everyday life of every culture.
In 2020 they obtained the support of Simona Bertozzi’s Nexus Factory and Anghiari Dance Hub, and in the same year they won the Danza&Danza award as emerging performers.
Thanks to ResiDanceXL 21 they undertake their second creation, Pas de deux, which will gain production support by winning DNAppunti coreografici 2021, and will then be selected at NID Platform 2023.
They present their work in various festivals, including La Democrazia del Corpo ( Florence ), Buffalo ( Rome ), FOG Triennale ( Milan ), Interplay ( Turin ), Fabbrica Europa ( Florence ), Opera estate ( Bassano del Grappa ), RomaEuropa Festival ( Rome ), Gender Bender ( Bologna ).
